Avval vi rab malak ey te akhar vi rab wali ey;
Jis noon rab nal pyar nahin ey soch samajh ton khali ey.
Swang bharan insanan de te kam karan haiwanan de;
Thagiyan din te raat karan pye pichchhe lag shaitanan de.
Kaprhe bhawen geru rang lye man vich maili maya eye;
Aap noon sabh ton uchha jane dil hankar samaya ey.
Dhyan lagaye mala fere teerath da ishnaan kare;
Hiras da kutta dil vich baitha bhaunke te halkan kare.
Ag kaam di dil vich bharhke ang bhabhoot ramai ey;
Sagar tar ke langhna chauhandai gal vich sil latkai ey.
Jis noon poora sadhoo milya dera rab vich laya ey;
Kahe avtar suno re santon oho sach samaya ey.

God is the Supreme Sovereign in the beginning and He is the Supreme Ruler in the end;
The one who does not love God is devoid of thought and wisdom.
Men disguised in human cloak behave like animals;
Following the path of devils, they indulge in deceitful acts day and night.
Thought clad in saffron clothes, the mind is full of filthy materialism;
He considers himself higher than all even though his heart is filled with ego.
He meditates, tells the beads and takes bath at places of pilgrimage;
The dog of greed dwells in his heart which keeps barking and troubling him.
The fire of lust ravages his heart even though he besmears his body with sacred ashes;
The man wishes to swim across the ocean with boulder hanging by his neck.
But the one who has met the perfect True Master, dwells in God;
Avtar says, listen O’ saints, such a person is immersed in Truth.

Meaning
The Formless One is the supreme ruler from the beginning till the end. The one who does not love the Formless One is devoid of thought and wisdom. Men are disguised as humans, but actually behave like animals. Day and night, men perform inhuman offences because they follow the path of the devil. It is useless to wear saffron robes, if our mind is fogged by the dirt of materialistic thoughts. Man considers himself above all even though his heart is filled with ego. Man meditates as well as takes bath at places of pilgrimage. The dog of greed takes toll in his heart which keeps barking and causes trouble. The fire of lust is present in his heart even though he smears himself with the so-called sacred ashes. Man wishes to swim across the ocean with a boulder hanging by his neck. But the one who has met the True Master is submerged in the Formless One. Avtar Says, listen saints, such is a person who is submerged in the Truth.
